Who is mark dalton caples?
Mark is a project management expert, author, and host of the Hard Knock University Podcast.
With over 25 years of experience in construction and leadership, Mark has transformed hard-earned lessons into actionable wisdom, as shared in his book, The Hard Knock School of Project Management. Based in Spring Branch, Texas, he’s passionate about mentoring others through the chaos of projects, drawing from his journey first as the owner of a luxury design/build firm specializing in high-end kitchen and bath remodels, and later as a Senior Project Manager with a nationwide prop-tech startup. A licensed residential and real estate inspector fluent in ICC building codes, Mark ensures every project meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Beyond construction, Mark is the driving force behind Leadership Knocks and the Hard Knock University Podcast, where he shares hard-earned lessons on leadership, resilience, and the realities of the building industry. Having grown up in West Texas facing hardship, he turned adversity into fuel for success. Today, he’s not just building homes—he’s building better leaders.
